Replacing Old Cast-iron Pipes

Here a project we just did. The existing sewer lines were old cast-iron. The cast iron had rotted away and collapsed underneath the foundation. That pipe also went underneath an addition that was built over top of the existing septic tank. So in the first picture is the new schedule 40 PVC piping that was installed. Then a new hole was drilled through the foundation to reroute the sewer line to the new septic tank that we installed. The outlet of the new tank was connected to the existing septic field.

Roots Are A Problem!

This isn’t the largest root we have ever removed but it’s definitely worth noting. We pulled this beauty out last night on an emergency call.

Backed Up Sewer

The customer’s sewer line has been backing up every year for a few years. They were using someone else who was snaking the line to get it unplugged. After a referral they gave us a call.
